New year resolutions :)

Yes, new year resolutions…just because we all have opportunities to new beginnings, to start over.

New year for me means a fresh start, a chance to try out things I never did in the past year, and of course…learn from my past mistakes.

This is the new year, one of which I’m actually making resolutions. Only because 2015 has been one hell of a year. I changed a lot and discovered a lot about myself that I didn’t know/realize. Just to get to the point, these are my new year resolutions.

Okay. Let’s get to it

1. Draw nearer to God

Through my growth process, I have discovered a lot about myself, and how the fact that anytime I speak to God, everything seems so much better. It’s usually not immediately but I feel better after these “sessions”.

I will try my best to be a better Christian and absorb God’s word into my life.

  1. Learn how to say NO!

This is just explaining the fact that I always felt the need to please people even when it makes me uncomfortable. I say yes to what people ask of me just because I felt I wanted to be kind. But I have learnt that I don’t really have to do that. People will hate me and I can never please everyone no matter what I do so why not go ahead and say no to the things I don’t wanna do?

  1. Be less stressed. 

I actually got this tip from  Scott Hoying (one of my absolute favorite people). I have to realize that making myself more stressed by thinking a lot about things doesn’t really go a long way to help a situation. I can only be hopeful and know that everything happens for a reason and in the end, everything will be fine.

  1. Take better care of my skin. 

It is said that the best time to take care of your skin to prevent pre mature aging and wrinkles is in your late teens/early twenties. And guess who’s in her early twenties? Me 🙂 I feel like this is one resolution I’ll have to really follow up because I need to look good and personally if I look good, I feel good. Ya feel me? 😋

  1. Lose that weight! 

At the end of 2015, I gained more than 8kg. Now that’s mighty unhealthy and straight up not good! My current weight(70kg) is over what is expected of a girl in this age. Lol I guess I’m just blabbing here, but the point is to eat better, work out more and generally get the body I want. I hope to lose at least 10kg from my current weight by the end of this year. So help me God 🙏

  1. WERK IT CAUSE I’M BADASS 

This year I’ll keep reminding myself that I’m awesome, and I deserve good things. And I’m gon WERK 😎
