Everyone loves their morning coffee, no doubt. There’s this great feeling after that first cup! We feel like we can get through the day, at last. So,why not try it for the skin too?
Its one of my favorite scrubs by the way, this face and body scrub is like breakfast for your skin, plus it smells incredible.
For this home made face scrub, you need just two ingredients.
- Coffee grounds (1 tbsp)
- Coconut oil (1 tsp)
Directions:
-Mix the coffee ground with the coconut oil until it forms a paste
-Apply to your face in circular motions.
-leave on for about 10 to 15 minutes
- Wash off with warm water.
And there you have it! A fresh looking skin in under 20 minutes.
—-you can add more to use for the skin, in the shower too—-
The benefits to this wonderful ingredient is simple.
Coffee is known to reduce inflammation and redness. It also reduces the appearance of under eye bags.
As an exfoliator, it removes dead skin, and “wakes up” a tired complexion. And the caffeine in coffee helps to tighten the skin, therefore making you look younger. Did you know, it works for skin cellulite too?
For coconut oil, we all know the benefits. It’s a great moisturizer, and it contains great antioxidants that help to protect against premature ageing and works well for acne prone skin.
If you have sun burned or damaged skin, you’ll be happy to know that coffee can help to reverse sun damage on the skin. So my naija people, after a long day in the hot sun, just use this scrub on your face and the results are brilliant.
You can use this great scrub 2-3 times a week.
Do you have home made face masks you use? Have you tried this face mask before? Let me know in the comments section!
I love coffee scrubs! I use raw sugar, coffee grounded beans, coconut oil and a splash of lemon juice to make mine. Great Post
