DIY – Great skin at home || Turmeric face mask

This spice called tumeric is one underrated spice I tell ya, it has been sitting in my cupboard for a long time until I read about its benefits and tried different ways I could use it.

Hello lovelies!

Long time no post! I could explain why I haven’t posted in a while, but that’s not why you’re here.

Today I want to show you all what I have been using to clear up my skin for the past month.

As you can already tell, I am a DIY beauty product junkie (see Here on ACV here on coffee facial ) and I was happy to discover the wonders of Turmeric on my face and skin.

This spice called turmeric is one underrated spice I tell ya, it has been sitting in my cupboard for a long time until I read about its benefits and tried different ways I could use it. Since then, I promised not to neglect any spice in my cupboard anymore.

DIY TUMERIC FACE MASK

This mask is pretty easy to make.  You need just two ingredients which you can easily find in your spice cupboard.

What you need :

  • Turmeric ( 1 tsp)

  • Honey ( 1 tbsp)

  • A small bowl

  • Brush for application

How to make this wonderful mask :

  • Put your turmeric into the bowl

  • Get in enough honey to mix the turmeric into a paste

  • Apply on your face, carefully avoiding the eye areas

  • Dance for about 10 minutes , or take multiple selfies like me 😀

-Rinse out after 10 minutes and apply your favorite moisturizer.

The wonders of turmeric for the skin as I know is that it helps to clear dark spots, prevent / quickly treat acne and it’s a great antiseptic for cleansing the skin.

P. S. :  It’s a good idea to be careful when dealing with tumeric as it may have staining properties. It’s easily washed off though but just incase you hate the color you could use this mask and wash it off in the shower.

And that’s it my loves, an easy way to clear up your skin with tumeric. I will be sharing the results on my instagram (@theashtreegram) so be sure to follow and keep up with me there 😊
