“It seems to me we can never give up longing and wishing while we are still alive. There are certain things we feel to be beautiful and good, and we must hunger for them.”
― George Eliot

Guess who’s getting older next week? that’s right, me!

My birthday is on the 27th of April, and with birthdays comes gifts, and this is me shamelessly putting out what I need/want for my birthday. I also believe in the power of requesting for what you need and it shall come to you. For it is written in the bible,  “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

Here are the 5 things on my wish list that I’d like to share with you all.

The Ash Tree Birthday wish list 🎉

1. A camera bag & Tripod

Just a week ago, I purchased a new DSLR camera (yay me! ), and while I had the option to wait three days and get the kit with a free camera bag and a memory card, lil’ old impatient me couldn’t wait. I was traveling just the day after and I NEEDED that camera for the trip. Now I can say that that was a bad decision because guess what, I need a camera bag, mostly for safety purposes. Trust me, I’m the clumsiest person you’ll ever meet. I already lost the lens cover and the camera fell twice already!  Just, wow!

2. The Body Shop “Spa of the world” beauty range.

The Body Shop is a well known and loved beauty & skincare company and I have popped in and out of their stores, to get a few masks here and there. I can’t help but wish I could get a whole range of their products. The spa of the world range is my favorite because it offers  a wide range of products which you can use at home to create a beautiful routine for yourself. Plus they smell heavenly and leave you feeling like a goddess after. How awesome is that?!

3. Something to make me sleep

For the past month or two, I’ve had the hardest time falling asleep. However, if I do fall asleep, I end up having nightmares and then I lie awake for the remaining long hours, waiting for morning- this post is being written at 3:33am by the way, see? No sleep. While this may not necessarily be a material thing-because I don’t want to depend on medication, I’m way too young for that, Lol – I would really love to sleep, peacefully and perfectly. I don’t think that’s a lot to ask, right?

Image result for money

When Davido sang “30 billion for the akant ey”,  I low-key know he was singing it for me. Lol. All jokes aside though, money has become a big necessity in this adulthood journey of mine and while I love working to make my money, I really won’t mind a lil bit of “support money” paid into my account – no shame in asking, right? If you want to help a sister, kindly pay into my PayPal or contact me for my bank details. God bless you!

5. Overall well being

As I’m about to end this post, I remember I was terribly ill on my birthday last year. That really sucked because I always thought my birthday is the one day in the whole year when nothing should taint my mood, or health. I was wrong, I went down with something which I couldn’t quite explain and it was terrible.

And so, for this year I ask God to give me good health, a better mood and also steer me in the right direction for my life.

Getting older isn’t easy , but it shouldn’t be so hard and it shouldn’t be so forced either. I am so happy for life and the experiences it has taught me so far. I know I am blessed to have people around me who care for me and to have a family who is the biggest support system for me.

And that’s it for this post, I’m thinking of doing a birthday themed post next week and also a giveaway for my birthday, what do you think?

Love & Light,
