Happy December, it’s just 28 days to the end of 2017! – How excited are you?
The month of December usually means two things. Winter and Christmas. Also, final exams! But I digress.
To be honest, I’m not much of a “winter” fan. I dislike having to wear boots and jackets and risk looking like a big ball of fluff when leaving my house, but what other choice do I have? For some people, like me, it is a headache. And for others, they enjoy the beauty and nature of this season. Some people have bought their own warm, bulky winter jackets, and for some sports-oriented folks, their skis and ski gears.
On today’s post I’d love to share the things I certainly need for this upcoming cold weather aka winter.
1 / BODY OIL & LOTION
Winter season is synonymous with drier skin and I am ready to combat it with my favorite body lotion and body oil from Dove & Neutrogena, respectively. I use them both in the mornings, and at night, I use either of them..mostly the body oil, because it smells so sweet and relaxes me after my night bath.
2 / LIP BALM
You guys must be so done with me and my emphasis on lip products but a girl loves her lips and loves to take care of it! This winter, I am bringing back my old friend, Vaseline & my Dior lip gloss, which keeps my lips extra moisturized the whole day.
3 / BEANIES & SCARVES
Keeping warm, especially on the head is necessary for me because I get the coldest up there, I don’t want to get a brain freeze, you know. Beanies are my favorite type of “head warmers” because they are easy to wear, they can cover up a bad hair day and still keep me warm. It’s all a win win!
4 / A SCENT FOR THE SEASON
When it was more sunny and bright, I was all about light, breezy, flowery scents. But now that the weather is getting colder and darker, I opt for the “darker” scents. I love this one by PUCCINI, which smells great and fits right in my budget. It does last all day long too.
5 / TEA
Simply put, tea brings me so much comfort. I love to make a big cup and snuggle right up to my computer. My favorite flavor this week is this mango-lassi-chai tea which tastes so so amazing! By the way, I just discovered that some folks love their tea with milk, but I don’t fancy it. So which one are you? Team Milk, or Team plain tea? Comment below!
And that’s it for my winter essentials. What are your winter/cold weather essentials?Let me know in the comment section!
