Hello Journalists! (Should this be a name I call you now? 😅)
2017 is coming to a close in a few days and I’m feeling very reflective, which is usual with everyone else at this time of the year.
Looking back at my blogging journey from the start of 2017, I’ve come to realise how far I have come, from going self hosted and changing my domain name, to collaborating with brands, sponsorships and the like. I can only owe my success to you all, my readers.
To end my blogging year on a right note, I thought I could share some of my top posts of 2017, according to the statistics on the blog.
I’m a bit surprised at some, but you guys win. So without further ado, here are your faves from 2017!
This post was about how to make a Turmeric face mask at home, using two key ingredients. I love how everyone benefited from this post. And this got me thinking, I should do more beauty DIY posts in 2018.
Read all about the process and steps here : Turmeric Face Mask
This became one of my most viewed segments on the blog, and I guess it’s probably because I always do these updates after I have been away for longer than usual, and I am always happy to give these updates too, because the stats show me that my journalists missed me. I always miss you too!

With this one, I am not so surprised, because who doesn’t love banana bread?? Especially one with a twist in which I became obsessed with (Spoiler alert : It has to do with a certain type of cereal).
This recipe was one of my favorites to recreate over and over and I am glad you all loved the post.

In all honesty, when I was writing, and even after I published this post, I kept asking my self : “Do you really think people need to learn how to drink more water?”
The response to this post answered my very doubtful self. Yes, people need to know how important water is, and how to incorporate it more into their routine.
So I am happy I shared this useful tip, and if you haven’t yet found out more fun ways to make water your best friend, look it up here : Health Tip : How To Effortlessly Drink More Water!
With this post, I declared to myself, and my journalists, that I would stop being negative in life, and channel only positivism wherever I go. And I’m glad you all agreed with me!
Till this day, I still go back to this post for inspiration and I think you should too. Read here : POSITIVE VIBES ONLY
This was one of the posts I wrote that required a lot of thought, research and structure. I wrote this post for a competition back in July, and I was surprised at the numbers.
This makes me want to branch out into more editorial style of writing, so let me know if you have some tips on that.

Another beauty DIY made it to this list, and I’m happy that it did. I am a massive shea butter user and when I discovered that I could whip it? I just had to share it!
I still use shea butter and it should be part of my winter essentials .

Ah, you guys! This post was one of my favorites to write, mostly because it was an ootd post and had some piece of advice embedded in it.
I loved this jacket for the summer, and I’m glad most of you did too. I probably should style it in other ways, do you have any suggestions?

When I started getting a lot of requests to share my skin care products, I felt like I had finally “arrived” as a blogger. Lol. I shared my everyday facial skin care products and was amazed at the outcome.
Though they’re not that high-end and expensive, these products have been my saving grace since my times of high school and I’ve been loving them.

When I wrote this post, I was being transparent with the fact that sometimes, I do not get the amount of support I would like. But, that’s life, you know.
With hitting publish on this post, the response was so amazing and the feedback was just more support than I could ever imagine. And from there, we could only go higher!

Here are a few of my other favorite posts too:
This was a big year for me, both creatively and personally. And I hope that in 2018, I can produce much better content that you would love and appreciate.
