Fashion bloggers are pretty incredible. Seeing them all over my social media gives me great hopes that someday, maybe someday, I can get my wardrobe in order and somewhat inspire others to change their wardrobe too.
Personally, fashion blogging is something I seldom think of. I mean, I love getting pictures taken, but usually it’s not for the outfit purposes. When I first used Instagram in 2014 ish, it was just for posting my fun outfit and every new shoe I got. It was always hashtagged #ootd and no day went by without me posting pictures.
However, years and years went by and then a sis became super lazy and just refused to care about putting two and two together. Especially for the purpose of “inspiring” someone to dress like me.
In this post, I’m here to talk about why I could fail as a fashion blogger.
My wardrobe is quite….limited.
When I think of fashion blogging, one thing comes to mind : Variety.
My clothing range consists of about 20,000 T-shirt’s in black and white color and about 5 “nice tops”. 3 pairs of jeans which are on constant rotation and a shoe which I have been wearing everyday for the last year or so.(okay, I lied. I have about 10 pairs of shoe but i have 3 faves which I would wear till they cry for help, literally.)
If you’ve read my style posts, you’ll realize that my style is quite laid back and way too casual. I’m still basically trying to figure out what works for me though because, I’d love to switch it up but still remain comfortable in whatever I wear.

I’m too lazy – aka, I suck at consistency
Being a fashion blogger is actually stressful. As a photographer for most fashion bloggers, I watch behind the scenes, each thought that goes into planning an outfit, getting together color schemes and trying to figure out what top goes with which shoe, etc. etc. and I stand back and wonder how I could possibly do this every shoot day or weekend, not to talk of everyday.
I randomly put two things together in hopes that I don’t look like a bag of rice by the time I step out of the door and on some days, I’m just really happy I can get a friend to help me get it together.
I also spend many days in hoodies and sweats. Although being a fashion blogger doesn’t mean you have to look “fashionable” all the time, they take their fashion out of the blog and apply it in their real lives most times.
Posing is the enemy
I’m an awkward poser. When ever I have to get in front of the camera, I just..stand there. It’s only recently I’ve learnt to switch up and learn what works for me, thanks to Sorelle Amore. However, I STILL suck at showing off my best features and eventually, I end up with candids. Fortunately, they are my favorite type of pictures anyway.
